What an AI agent costs to deploy in a Czech company
The most common question on a first call. "It depends" is true, but not useful to anyone - so here's a realistic price band for a pilot, production rollout and monthly operation, calculated from a 10,000 CZK/day rate.
A note on the numbers: The ranges below are estimates based on the typical scope of similar projects and a 10,000 CZK/day rate - not a single specific client. The exact price always depends on your actual requirements and the state of your systems.
The cost of an AI agent isn't set by "how much AI costs" - it's set by the scope of integration, how many systems it connects to, and how much testing and operational rigor it needs. The most common mistake is comparing it to a ChatGPT subscription: an agent that writes to your CRM or sends emails on its own is a software project, not a licence.
Three levels of deployment
At the 10,000 CZK/day rate, a pilot runs 170,000-240,000 CZK; a full production rollout runs 350,000-500,000 CZK (including the pilot). Production costs more mainly because of extra integrations, error handling and security - not the complexity of the AI model itself.
Broken down by phase
Analysis and design
What the agent should do, where its decision boundaries are, what data and systems it needs. 3-5 days.
First system integration
Connecting to a CRM, email or internal API - auth, permissions, error handling. 5-7 days.
Building and testing the agent
Decision logic, prompts, output validation, test scenarios including edge cases. 6-8 days.
Pilot deployment and tuning
Running on a limited sample, gathering feedback, tuning based on real behaviour. 3-4 days.
Extending integrations (production)
Connecting further systems, security layer, logging and an audit trail. 8-12 days.
Rollout and handover
Full production launch, documentation, training the team who'll work with the agent. 4-6 days.
What drives the price up
- Integrating with older or poorly documented internal systems - takes noticeably longer than a standard API.
- High security and auditability requirements (finance, healthcare, public sector).
- An agent that takes real-world actions with consequences (payments, deleting data) - needs more testing and safeguards.
- Messy source data - often needs cleaning up before the agent can operate reliably at all.
What brings the price down
- A standard, well-documented API (common CRMs, cloud services).
- A tightly scoped use case - the agent does one thing well, not a "do-everything assistant".
- Willingness to start with a pilot on one process and expand gradually, rather than one big-bang rollout.
A pilot on one use case is the cheapest way to find out whether an agent actually makes sense for your operation - before investing in a full rollout.
Operation after go-live
An agent left unattended degrades over time - data changes, APIs change, user behaviour changes. That's why after deployment I offer a monthly Care plan: basic from roughly EUR 200/month (about half a day a month - checks and small tweaks), extended at roughly EUR 400/month (about a day a month - active tuning, faster response to issues).
